Ever written a bio about yourself? Honestly, I’ve had to do it a few times in my career, and it’s the most awkward thing ever. It’s like writing your own obit. It just feels weird.
“Dave was good man. Tall, handsome and fit, with an above average intelligence level. He attended Harvard when he was only 12″…But seriously,
What can I say? I’m just an average 51 year old dad who has a wonderful family around me, who not only put up with, but actually encourage my weirdness. I sometimes tend to think a little left of center. I have this odd habit of blurting out what I’m actually thinking. Some call that honesty. My boss calls it a potential lawsuit. Either way, it’s always fun!
When I’m not on air on CJOY from 5am-9am, I like to ride my Harley. I’m a big fan of camping and usually do 3-4 camping trips a year. Sometimes with my wife or kids, sometimes just by myself. I’m fairly handy. I can tear down and rebuild a Harley. I do most of my own car stuff. Last winter I completely reno’d a kitchen myself. I’m proud of the stuff I’ve learned over the years. I’ve had some good teachers.
I enjoy hanging out with friends on a Sat night. Playing some games. Having a few drinks. We travel with our friends so we always seem to planning our next destination. Our group has visited Europe twice in the past few years and we seem to be hooked. It’s really great when you have a fantastic, tight circle of friends who all seem to share your thirst for travel.
I am fiercely proud to call Guelph my home. I have lived here for 28 years. I have raised my family here. I love this city. The morning show I bring you every weekday morning unabashedly local. If it’s going on in our city, I’ll likely be talking about it. I also love to share the stuff that is going on around me. If my wife and I have a “discussion” (I’m not allowed to call it an argument) I’ll likely be talking about it the next morning . Too be honest, that kind of ticks her off. It makes for fun stories.
Information, local news, entertainment, some laughs and above all; Fun. It’s my show, but it’s about you.
