We're getting ready for another fun filled holiday weekend and again, there is lots to see and do in the Royal City.  If you're sticking around this weekend here are a few of the events you can join your friendly neighborhood Compass Reporter:

Saturday is Canada's Food Day.  Local eateries, breweries, farmers and foodies will joining forces to celebrate the bounty right here in our amazing country.  Check out flavoursofcanada.ca for a full list of participants but be sure to join us at the Guelph Farmers Market first thing Saturday morning.

Later on Saturday afternoon, your Guelph Royals take the field at Hastings Stadium for game 4 of this highly entertaining playoff series against the Toronto Maple Leafs.  Your Royals are leading 2 games to 1 but could put a strangle hold on the series with a win on Saturday.  Game time is 2pm, get there early to get the best seats.

Sunday is John Galt day and the Church of St. Jams the Apostle is celebrating with a Scottish Kirking.  This is a ceremonial parade of dignitaries lead by a piper.  The Service starts at 10:30 the kirking will begin shortly before then at John Galt Park right beside the River Run Center.

If you want Tianna and the CJOY Compass to join you at your next event, just shoot us an email at psa@CJOY.com.
