A very true story about "Slumdog Millionaire" is the fact that the studio was originally going to put the film right to video. I wonder if the person that came up with that idea is working today. Anyway, the big day has come. Its finally on DVD. This film has been probably one of the most uplifting I have ever seen. In this world, its good to see the little guy win every once in a while. The film won 8 Academy Awards including best movie and best director. Make it a must see. I am going to ask my wife to buy it for me, for my birthday present. Another good film heading to DVD today is "Marley and Me". Yes, it does have its very sad parts but if you a dog owner like I am, you can identify with it. If you are into suspense, there is a french subtitled film you shouldn't miss. "Tell No One" will keep you on the edge of your seat. Yes, you do have to read it, but I find some of the best films I have seen, are foreign films. Try this one out and let me know by e mail if you liked it.
