Where's the Snow?

When I was a kid the snow was always six deep all winter long and I walked 5 miles to school; uphill both ways.  That's the way I remember it anyway.  So where's the snow?  My best guess is that we'll forget that we ever asked that question by mid January, but it has been an unusal mild November.  Environment Canada people tell us we haven't experienced such a realitvely snow free November since the 1930s.  One thing's certain the weather always gives us something to talk about.
