I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but there’s a great deal of construction going on around the city. I’m thinking of writing a horror movie where the orange and black traffic cones come to life and try to take over the city (or maybe they already have!!) It’s aggravating at times but overall, I’m keeping my cool and maintaining an even keel. However, I do have a complaint: the increasing number of terrible drivers on the road. I’m horrified at some of the awful driving I’m seeing around the area. People running red lights and stop signs, perfectly healthy people who park in handicapped spots, the many who have no idea what the protocol is at a four way stop and maybe most alarming: those idiots who don’t pull over for emergency vehicles. Some of these people have no business owning a driver’s license and probably wouldn’t pass another test for it either. I was passed on Speedvale over the weekend by some goof doing about 100kms an hour. No he wasn’t going to the hospital either, as he blasted right past Delhi Street. The way he was driving, he may end up there eventually anyway. Enjoy the summer: it’s much easier to see when you’re doing the proper speed limit.
